HR and Payroll Officer (30 Hours Per Week)

We are looking for a HR and Payroll Officer to join our HR team, working in either our Breda or Eindhoven office. This role offers hybrid working, with 3 days per week office based and 2 days per week from home.

About the role

As the HR and Payroll Officer for the Netherlands and Germany, you will be the first point of contact for all employees across functions within your territory. You will operate independently and ensure accurate execution of your work to achieve the desired performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow and maintain HR policies and procedures. Ensuring they are kept up to date with local legislation
• Be a subject matter expert in your country for all of payroll and communicate pro-actively about legal pay changes (such as indexations) to the HRBP
• Running the payroll for your respective country as well as assuring correct and timely payroll calculations in cooperation with our external payroll provider. (Country dependant)
• Responsible for working with 3rd party providers on delivery of payroll services - ensuring fulfilling requests and reviewing ways to make improvements to process/service
• Follow up on timely reporting of monthly payroll file and HC report to accounting. (including for Germany and Netherlands, reconcile payroll accounts to tax reporting)
• Co-ordinate the documentation of all End of Year, Mid-Year and appraisal documents to meet compliance
• Ensure that all SOX compliance is met and able to support the HRBP with their SOX responsibility.
• All administration for Contracts and offers of employment, addenda, warning letters, performance reviews, merit increases.
• Coordination of benefits in kind through the correct documents and processes before on boarding of employees
• Processing/ administration of employees starting/leaving, Long service awards
• Induction/on boarding of new employees on their first day

About you ...

• Payroll and social legislation certificate/degree
• Fluent in English and Dutch (written and oral)
• Knowledge of local labour law and social security rules
• Be able to adapt to an ever changing environment
• Good understanding of legislation around company insurance policies, healthcare, life assurance etc
• Strong communication skills with stakeholders and employees at all levels
